The Rotary Club of O'Fallon meets at Noon every Monday at the Katy Cavins Community Center

The O'Fallon Rotary Club was chartered on 19 May 1925 with 15 members.  Today, the O'Fallon Rotary Club has about 80 members and has sponsored the formation of Rotary Clubs in Lebanon, Waterloo, Columbia, Fairview Heights, and a second club in O'Fallon -- the Sunrise Club.

To join us,

see a Rotarian.

The Club participates in a variety of beneficial community civic projects and international service projects each year.  We are able to do this through the generosity of Rotarian and community members.  One of our biggest fund-raisers is our ANNUAL AUCTION.

OUR ACTIVITIES BENEFIT PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD AND INCLUDE:

Collection of Books for the Children of Belize - WE ARE STILL COLLECTING BOOKS FOR THE CHILDREN OF BELIZE --- PLEASE donate your used or new children's books by dropping off books at the Commerce Bank, 4400 Green Mount Crossing Drive by Target and Dierberg's; Monday - Thursday 9 am - 5 pm, Friday 9 am - 6 pm, or Saturday 9 am - Noon

Improvements to the Rock Springs Rotary Park  - The O'Fallon Rotary Club is donating $15,000 to the purchase of climbing boulders at the Rock Springs Rotary Park.

Benefits to the O'Fallon Library - Our Rotary Club donated $4500 in 2006 to improve the computers patrons use for Internet access and training offered by the skilled Library staff.   Our Rotary Club continues to support this fine project.

Construction of Rock Springs Rotary Park Nature Center Cabin  Read an article about the Nature Center built by the Rotary Club.  Rock Springs Nature Park is located in the eastern section of the city north of Hwy 50 and contains 109 acres of beautiful wooded land. There is a bathroom, a pavilion, and wonderful walking trails. The outer trail is a mile and the inner trails are under a mile. Prairie grasses have been planted in the center of the inner trail. The pavilion is first come first serve. Many people are enjoying walking and riding bikes at the Park as well as the many activities offered at the Pavillion. The Park is located east on Third Street.  This project was recognized for the Governor's Home Town Award.  The Rotary Club of O'Fallon is recognized on page 9 of the Governor's Press Release which you can read by clicking here.

Scholarships for graduating high school students from O'Fallon

Student of the Month -- Club sponsors an O'Fallon Township High School student each month during the school year.

Adopt a Highway -- members clean up Highway 50 twice a year

Salvation Army -- As a service club, we care about those that are less fortunate.  O'Fallon Rotary has enthusiastically volunteered to "ring the bell" for The Salvation Army each Christmas.

City Parades -- club hosts annual Children's Parade and enters floats in the Homecoming and Christmas parades

Scott Appreciation Day -- members run the welcome booth at the annual picnic

Rotary Youth Exchange -- Club hosts high school students from various foreign countries each year.

Support of Ambassadorial Scholars.  The purpose of the Ambassadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries. The program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies. While abroad, scholars serve as ambassadors of goodwill to the people of the host country and give presentations about their homelands to Rotary clubs and other groups. Upon returning home, scholars share with Rotarians and others the experiences that led to greater understanding of their host countries.

Group Study Exchange Team -- Club hosts a five-member team of foreign business leaders.

Mentoring -- members and spouses mentor students at local schools

Red Cross Blood Drive -- members donate blood and sponsor a blood drive twice per year

Adopt-a-Family -- members adopt a deserving family each year at Christmas

Polio Eradication -- Club supports Rotary International efforts to eradicate polio from the face of the earth
